The service provides clients with ideas and concepts for their French building project that honours the fabric and soul of the architecture. I conceive modern and fresh ideas that focus on efficient and ergonomic use of the space.

Once you start to build, changing your mind and experimenting costs money and time. Reduce the risk of unwanted surprises. Design, test and plan before you build. Everyone is happy. What do you actually get?
I produce sketches, illustrations and 3d models that help you visualise different solutions for your build project. This is a thinking, exploratory phase where ideas are bashed out and alternatives investigated. But this means, that in this phase, there are no detailed, dimensioned drawings.

This service starts from €899 for a portfolio of non-dimensioned drawings, concepts and visuals, and is dependent on the size and scope of the project.

The process of developing ideas and concepts begins with a site survey to map, photograph and measure the plot, and a meeting with yourself (online or face-to-face) to understand your project requirements.

A site survey takes approx. 2-4 hours and the fee is 200€. This charge is included for all the artwork services I provide.

Do you want to take your concepts and ideas further? Do you know what you want to do with the place, but need to formalise your thoughts? Or do you need drawings for a French planning application?

I produce scale drawings, floor plans, cross-sections, elevations and interior layouts to scale and with dimensions, for residential projects; renovations, conversions, extensions, gîtes and pools/terraces for any project that doesn't create a habitable floor area of greater than 150m2. Examples of the types of drawings required for formal planning can be found at the riverside renovation project.

I provide a set of scaled, dimensioned drawings and photos for submission as part of a planning application from 1400€ (dependent on the size and scope of the project). This pack contains 5 sets of drawings (Site plan, ground plan, section cut, elevations and visualisations) and 2 sets of photos (close-up of plot and plot from afar) that are required to be submitted with a planning application.

The caveat ...
Whilst I have experience in this field, I am not a qualified architect, and legally in France, I can only produce drawings to support a planning application for properties up to 150m2. For properties larger than 150m2, I work with a French registered architect to deliver the bigger projects.

Changes to the internal layout of any sized house, generally do not require planning permission, so I can prepare floor plans for any sized project (structural changes or changes to the facades always require some form of planning permission).

Concepts and ideas are also not governed by the same 150m2 restriction ... therefore I can get involved and help you with anything from a garden shed to a château.

Photo realistic renderings and visualisations of building projects. These pieces are offered as part of the architectural drawings and plans package, but can also be commissioned individually for brochures, artwork, etc. These are priced per project – for instance, if I have already built a 3d cgi model of the property and have undertaken a site survey, a lot of the preliminary work has already been done. If I'm starting from scratch, there is more time involved.
